Vajrasattva Sky Relic
In 1997, at a famous monastic college in Szechuan, China, a long ceremony was held in front of a huge statue of Vajrasattva (the Buddha of Purification). The statue was made of pure crystal. The abbot of the monastery is Jigme Phuntsok Rinpoche.
During the ceremony, translucent relics rained down from the sky. These had the same appearance as the crystal appearance of the Vajrasattva statue. This monastic college is known for the ‘relic rain’ spontaneously happening during ceremonies.
Raymond Wu offered this relic during an event in New York in October 2004.
